Repaircare now includes ALL parts (Repaircare)
Following the hugely successful launch of the home repair service in February there’s more exciting news from appliance repair specialist, Repaircare. As of the 1st June 2009 their fixed price repairs, starting at £70, will include all parts required to complete the job as well as labour and callout – making it even easier to get any home appliance fixed.
The home repair service launched a new dimension to the Repaircare brand, which since its foundation in 2002 had specialised in appliance repairs on behalf of leading high street retailers, appliance manufacturers and insurance companies. Thousands of consumers have already benefited from the new service which originally set out to provide consumers with a cost effective alternative to replacing faulty home appliances.
The fixed price service is a great way for consumers to save money should an essential appliance like a washing machine or cooker break down. It also provides a useful service for private landlords, especially given the current economic difficulties and additional pressures facing landlords at the present time.
As the price charged for the home repair service now includes all spare parts, as well as all other aspects of the repair; callout, labour, diagnosis and professional safety check – consumers can book with confidence knowing there are no extra charges.
The changes to the service should make it even easier to use and make opting for a repair completely hassle-free.
According to Repaircare Director, Dave Holden: "When we first launched the service we only covered the cost of spare parts up to the value paid for the repair. We have listened to feedback from our customers and have taken the decision to supply all necessary parts for the one time charge. Hopefully this will further simplify the service and make repairs more appealing to those consumers that may have previously been put of by the possibility of extra charges."
As the home repair service includes callout, diagnosis, labour and all parts it is a rarity in the appliance repair market. There are many repair companies out there that advertise low cost ‘fixed price repairs’, however in reality this often means little more than a set fee for callout and fault diagnosis.
Mr Holden believes that in many cases these services are often not as good a deal as they first appear, "Most fixed price services charge extra for any spare parts used. A large percentage of repairs will require parts and this is often the most expensive element of the repair, so consumers will usually end up paying a lot more than the headline price. Our service is totally different. As we include all required parts, even if a customer has only paid £100 for their repair and we need to fit £150 worth of parts to revive the appliance they won’t be charged a penny more. With repaircare the price you’re quoted is the price you pay.”
